The objective of the project, Citizenship and Public Policies School, is to conduct activities in conjunction with social movements, councilors of public policies, grassroots educators and public managers based on the accumulated achievements of Polis on innovative experiences in public policies, on local management and development, citizens' participation, right to the city and urban reform, food security, environment and wastes, culture, social control of budgets, as well as in the area of constructing public policies indicators and assessment.
The thrust of the activities conducted by the Citizenship School is to strengthen the intervention capacity of civil society stakeholders, especially in the city of São Paulo, through educational projects that stimulate exercise of active citizenship by social groups, in formulating, negotiating and protecting public policies that contribute towards redistribution of wealth and power.
